Turkish Environment and Forestry Minister Veysel Eroglu said that Turkey would host the 10th United Nations Forestry Forum which is set to be held in 2013.

Eroglu returned to Turkey from the United States where he attended the 9th UN Forestry Forum.

In a response to a question Eroglu also said Turkey's forests would be protected with unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) in a very near future. He noted that Turkey had been using fire observation towers. in its forests.

"Turkey also set camera systems to watch its forests closely. Turkey would use drones, which would produce in Turkey, in a near future," noted Eroglu.

Turkey proposed to host the UN forum and its proposal was approved by all countries which participated in the 9th UN Forestry Forum, he said.

Eroglu said the annual UN forum would be held for the first time elsewhere other than New York.
